Escort 9500. I used to be a part of radar detector forum, everyone would laugh at Cobras. Really, there is no contest.

However, before you buy a radar, I'd caution you to do your homework. I hope you understand that it will not help

Cobra RSX R9G Radar detector?

I was looking at purchasing this unit but i came across a newer model the R10G this one comes with AURA while the other one just has gps. It says they both can be updated on cobras website but i went there and the only spot to update is to log into AURA


Cobra is a bullshit brand of radar detector. The only brands worth considering are Beltronics, Escort, and Valentine. And only top-of-the-line models if you want the detector to be effective, which means you'll probably have to pay at least $350.
